Julie Jean White - a country singer/songwriter (and former competitive body builder) - was born in Minnesota and raised in Texas.  Her songs have received accolades from Billboard Magazine, American Songwriter Magazine, and from the legendary Carly Simon, who was tearfully moved after hearing White's award-winning song "Living Backwards".

Julie Jean has been recognized as a finalist in the Kerrville New Folk Fest, the WildFlower Fest, the B.W. Stevenson contest (x2), and the Texaco Country Showdown.  Her catalog of work reflects her eclectic taste in music, touting Willie Nelson, Natalie Merchant, Stevie Nicks and Carole King among her major music influencers.

After moving to Nashville, TN and collaborating with some of its favorite writers, she is now gearing up to release her next album, “Feed This Jones”, produced by hit songwriter/producer Brian White.  With a distinctive, whiskey-tinged voice and lyrical topics befitting her upcoming distillery tour, her artistry is garnering some well-deserved attention...

"From poignant and insightful songwriting, to breathing life and emotion into her songs with rich tone and delivery, White is a consummate artist."
- The Vail Daily

"... combines the purity of an independent artist with the polish of a seasoned veteran...reminiscent of vintage Bonnie Raitt.
- Michael Rampa; High Octane Music News

“[Silver Heart] is one of the top independent singer-songwriter discs I have heard in quite some time.   I’ve got to say I want to hear a lot more of this riveting performer.”
- Chuck Dauphin; Music News Nashville
